Cream @Crisco shortening{1%cup}, @white sugar{1%cup}, @light brown sugar{1/2%cup}, @eggs{2}, and @vanilla{2%tsp} until light and fluffy.
Sift together dry ingredients: @flour{2%cups}, @salt{1.5%tsp}, and @baking soda{1%tsp}.
Add dry ingredients to cream mixture until blended.
Stir in @chocolate chips{12%oz}.
Drop teaspoons of dough on ungreased #cookie sheet{}.
Bake at 375°F for ~{10%minutes}. note: Watch at 10 minutes - bake 10-12 minutes total.
